Behind the videos

These videos are a range of solo and group bass performances. I play through a wide range of genres, as shown in my NCEA level 2 performance. I chose to perform two contrasting pieces, I Want You Back by Jackson Five and Invention 4 in D Minor by J.S. Bach.

My solo performance pieces in 2020 consisted of Fences by Paramore and Time Is Running Out by Muse.

I also played in a 'blind date' concert at Canterbury Folk Festival in 2021. This was a challenge, as the band members were drawn out of a hat and we only had two rehearsals together to arrange a song to play. We decided to play a bluegrass cover of Dancing Queen by Abba and it was definitely a hit.
